Investment Pier
Fish — or invest — for profit.

Nearly everyone in these islands comes here to Investment Pier in hopes of catching the local delicacy, Orangefish. Orangefish is a golden fish that taste like fried chicken and sell for big bucks at the fish market. Two weeks ago, Donia spent $5 on a can of worms that Reel Magazine ranked first as Orangefish bait. She sat right here for three days until she finally caught a 3-foot Orangefish! When she takes the Orangefish to the market, she’ll be able to sell it for $50. A $50 Orangefish, minus $5 on worms and a little patience, earned Donia a $45 profit.

When you spend money with the goal of making more money, or a profit, like Donia did with her Orangefish bait, you’re investing your money. Your investment might be small, like spending $5 on bait that could help you catch a $50 fish. Or, it might be enormous, like spending $50,000 on a house that’s worth $300,000, the way Donia’s grandparents did.

But investing almost always involves some risk. Let’s walk through Risk Lagoon to see how risk works.
